Team introduction
5 students from DAE set out on an exhilarating journey to create a modern arcade game.
The team exists out of 2 programmers and 3 artists.

Project introduction
Our version is a new perspective on the old arcade classic, Tetris, giving the player a unique experience on an old classic.
By adding a 3rd person character, the player is confronted with an entirely new playset of rules and challenges.
Gameplay introduction
The player's goal is to react rapidly on the endless environment, as in the old classic, shapes will fall down and the player can rearrange these.
Using the given tools, shapes can be altered, moved and destroyed by the player to create a climbable tower.
The goal of the game is to create a tower and reach the highest point possible, thus gaining the highest score.
Research
Which artstyle will be used in our project?
After thorough discussions, we've decided to create an arcadey experience with voxel art.
What software will be used for the project's art?
On top of using more traditional modelling software (3DsMax, Blender...), MagicaVoxel will be used as well.
MagicaVoxel has extra engine integration with its Unity plugin.
Unreal Engine 4 or Unity?
So far we're leaning towards Unity with it's less complex workflow and handy integration with MagicaVoxel.
